Local & National History that Comes Alive
Rich has created and organized one of the largest military collections on Long Island and New York State. Plan your visit to learn about the local figures and the Revolutionary and Civil War's. Camp Upton and the training of American soldiers for the Western Front in France during World War I. Vast display of World War II pictures, weapons, stories, battles, and sacrifices. The fighting to prevent the expansion of communism in Korea and Vietnam, the protection of this nation during the Cold War, and the tragedy of 9/11/01 and the Global War on Terror.
Preserving History: Curatorial Collaborations
Richard Acritelli has led numerous curatorial projects, bridging academic research with public exhibition design. His work focuses on transforming complex historical narratives into immersive museum experiences that engage diverse audiences and preserve the integrity of the American story. Since 2011, Rich has created local and national military history and educational monuments to learn about the sacrifices of American Armed Forces from yesterday to today. His work has also focused on the military and political leadership, their actions, and the triumphs and the resolve of the United States after notable failures.
