Between 2011-2012, Richard led the way towards the construction of this major 9/11/01 learning center to remember all of the lost citizens and graduates from the Townships of Brookhaven, Riverhead, Islip, and Smithtown.  It also addresses the services of the Rescue Workers and the Global War on Terror Veterans.  Tens of thousands of people with their children playing sports have visited this major Suffolk County 9/11/10 memorial.
